ESP32-EVB is OSHW certified Open Source Hardware with UID BG000011

This is the ultimate IoT board with wired 100Mb Ethernet Interface, Bluetooth LE, WiFi, Remote control IR, and CAN connectivity. The board can operate with single LiPo backup battery like UPS as it has an internal LiPo battery charger (no step-up converter, so relays, CAN and USB power would not work over battery). Two relays allows you to switch power appliances on and off.

ESP32-EVB and ESP32-EVB-EA are with commercial temperature range 0-70C
ESP32-EVB-IND and ESP32-EVB-EA-IND are functionally identical, but has all components qualified to work in industrial temperature grade -40+85C.

  • The Ethernet doesn't start after a restart, it throws "init phy failed" error. What should I do?

  • Ethernet might hang of initialized too quickly after a reset. Add some delay at the start of the code before the Ethernet initialization. For example, if you are using the default Arduino IDE demo for LAN8720 try adding delay () after Serial.begin(), as shown below:
