ESP32-S2 is a highly integrated, low-power, single-core Wi-Fi Microcontroller SoC, designed to be secure and cost-effective, with a high performance and a rich set of IO capabilities.
Compared to ESP32, ESP32-S2 is only single core and miss the Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity, but have much mode GPIOs which were missing in ESP32.
The typical use is for WiFi enabled devices. ESP32-S2 supports low power modes including deep sleep with as low as 20uA.
ESP32-S2-DevKit-Lipo-USB board is pin to pin compatible with Espressif ESP32-Saola-1, but adds Lipo charger and ability to work on LiPo power when external power supply is missing, allowing handheld applications.
ESP32-S2-DevKit-Lipo-USB uses the build-in USB interface and can work as host and device, even when powered by the LiPo batteria.
All components used are with industrial grade oprating temperature -40+85C.
