[10:04:09] <Tsvetan_> Let's hope RISC-V will avoid the mess which ARM created with every vendor connecting the IP blocks are different addresses and making them incompatible. I've read somewhere that if you implement RISC-V SOC with their IPs you have instant mainline Linux support
[10:04:57] <Tsvetan_> but I suspect many would be tempted to make their oown instructions and break the compatibility to tie the customers to their product.
