[19:24:28] <nichole5a55> hey guys. what is the default user/password for debian buster image on A20Lime2? It shows 'Olinuxino login:'
[19:24:35] <nichole5a55> And then I need to insert user/password
[19:28:12] <nichole5a55> Also by the way, not to be rude or anything, but it would be nice to have that information in the .txt info file included in the 7z archive with the imae
[19:28:17] <nichole5a55> *image
[19:36:06] <nichole5a55> are there only devs employees here who are all on holiday?
[19:38:26] <dddddd> maybe root/1234 (as some logs may indicate, but I don't know if we're talking about the same image)
[19:39:10] <dddddd> Almost nobody here is from Olimex.
[19:39:43] <dddddd> Be patient, anyway, as usual.
[19:39:45] <nichole5a55> yes..omg TTHHAANNKKSS
[19:44:23] <nichole5a55> another question since I got someone to type. I was tryn to install the freedombox image, and got to the same place: no user password. But freedombox doesnt have a user/password system. The user needs to connect via ethernet, and get a dhcp IP from the box, then browse to its interface and change default settings. My problem is that I dont get a DHCP address from the box, so cant connect. Do you have any
[19:44:25] <nichole5a55> ideas? That is why in fact I am installing buster, just so that I can manually install the freedombox package
[19:45:50] <nichole5a55> That is why I bought this damn thing
[19:47:08] <Asara> nichole5a55: when I set up freedombox on my lime2, I used this: https://wiki.debian.org/FreedomBox/Hardware/A20-OLinuXino-Lime2
[19:47:29] <Asara> they have prebuilt images for the lime2
[19:48:00] <Asara> but if you want to go the default debian route, tha tis vaild too
[19:49:03] <nichole5a55> Thats the one I tried(several versions: nightly, testing, stable, pioneer edition)
[19:50:38] <nichole5a55> I started to belive my microSD was no good or something, but now the user/password just worked with debian buster, on the same microsd
[19:51:58] <nichole5a55> I already let the #freedombox guys know. you are right, I'll do it manually
[20:08:04] <nichole5a55> anyone aware of a trick for stopping autoboot to modify the u-boot? maybe a specific image? pressing space wont work. I have purchased the serial cable, but didnt get the 0.05 adapter :(
[20:37:19] <nichole5a55> read the manual again and fount the uart0 connector for the serial cable :)
[21:13:16] <jo0nas> nichole5a55: good that you figured it out - for those without a serial cable the Debian-based images I provide at https://box.redpill.dk/ use HDMI output and USB-keyboard input by default
