[03:13:11] <xcko> dddddd: I'm not sure how to test w/o mesa but it sounds like the lima drivers are loading correctly! :)
[03:56:45] <xcko> looks like the pwm backlight fixes for the sun50i-a64-teres.dts are added upstream in 5.2-rc1, nice
[16:05:12] <jo0nas> yes, finally I succeeded in changing backlight on my Teres-I
[16:12:38] <jo0nas> now on to figuring out how it ties with "media keys" and the Teres-I Fn keys in particular
[19:03:53] <diego71> jo0nas: do you mean that you make backlight work in kernel?
[20:54:12] <jo0nas> I am not a kernel developer, what I mean is I succesfully compiled linux 5.2-rc1 with a suitable config that provides the ability to turn up and down the backlight by echo'ing numbers into /sys
[21:55:03] <dddddd> jo0nas, nice! Do you compile the kernel in teres? How long it takes?
[22:17:20] <jo0nas> it took a day - yes, on the Teres-I itself
[22:31:26] <dddddd> custom config? I saved some time removing "a couple" of things. Cut more than half time. (but this is cross-compiled, so I can compare with your time exactly)
