[11:15:59] <leon-anavi> hi
[11:24:37] <adj__> good morning
[13:57:13] <marsim> hi all
[13:58:40] <marsim> i've orderea an A10 Olinuxino Lime, and stared since now to read docs and I've found something that makes me wonder some questions about UART
[13:59:01] <marsim> http://linux-sunxi.org/UART here at the Using an Arduino paragraph
[13:59:28] <marsim> it suggests that it would be useful to use and arduino as a serial console cable
[13:59:40] <marsim> but Arduino UART levels are 5V
[14:00:08] <marsim> what I've seen reading docs is that A10 Olinuxino UART levels are 3.3
[14:00:39] <marsim> so am I confused or is something wrong here (http://linux-sunxi.org/UART) ?
[15:09:45] <Lux> note: via usb
[15:10:22] <Lux> there are 3.3V capable arduinos too though
[15:11:51] <marsim> what about using a voltage divider ?
[15:29:22] <adj__> marsim, I would not use an arduino for that
[15:29:34] <adj__> use a usb-serial 3.3v cable
[15:30:38] <adj__> they are inexpensive and are useful for a lot of situations
[16:43:08] <marsim> <adj__> yes, I know that are inxpansive and useful, but I already have one that is not working with windows 10 and don't want to wait 30/40 days for an order placed to aliexpress before start using the board :-( so in the meantime I'm looking for an alternative
