[02:48:12] <robotonics> Hi all
[11:58:32] <john___> hi guys
[11:59:12] <lukas2511> hi john______________________
[12:00:05] <john___> I have a question regarding the Lime2, I use to host a wordpress website (no comment!) and it's been twice in a week that mysqld is killed by the system (lowmemorykiller: Killing 'mysqld')
[12:00:47] <john123> I wonder if I can add a swap partition or do something else, do you know if that's possible?
[12:02:07] <john123> I have no hard disk but only a flashcard in it
[12:03:25] <lukas2511> easy fix would be to edit mysql server config
[12:03:39] <lukas2511> most of the time setting max_clients to a lower value (like 5 or so) fixes all memory problems
[12:03:50] <lukas2511> but if you want to you can create a swap file
[12:03:55] <lukas2511> (or even a partition)
[12:04:42] <john123> lukas2511: I'll have a look, thanks
[12:05:00] <lukas2511> for swapfile you probably can just follow this wiki page https://wiki.debian.org/Swap
[12:05:18] <lukas2511> should be basically the same for all major linux distros
[12:05:41] <john123> ok. I was wondering if I can follow the normal procedure or if there's something special, thanks
[13:30:53] <john123> re
[13:32:51] <john123> so I added a swap file and changed /etc/fstab, reboot... and now something is wrong, I don't know what. It doesn't seem to be linked to the swap because I plugged the memory card in my computer then to delete the line in fstab, and still the same issue : I can ping the lime2 but DHCP on USB doesn't work, I can't connect to SSH and also, apache didn't start
[13:33:29] <john123> do you have any idea about what happened?
[13:33:52] <john123> I shut down the box with sudo reboot, forgot the "-p", could it be that?
[13:34:42] <john123> and ssh simply tells me "ssh: connect to host 192.168.2.252 port 22: Connection refused"
[13:35:11] <lukas2511> sounds like it is still booting
[13:35:14] <john123> 192.168.2.252 is the address of the lime on the local network
[13:35:15] <john123> ow
[13:35:26] <john123> does it takes several minutes?
[13:35:33] <lukas2511> maybe there is some service failing
[13:35:39] <lukas2511> it may need to timeout first
[13:36:14] <lukas2511> or maybe filesystem check, who knows
[13:36:21] <lukas2511> just wait a few minutes i guess
[13:46:25] <john123> still nothing... should I wait more and put back the memory card on my computer and see what's in the log?
[13:46:49] <lukas2511> maybe, dunno
[13:47:05] <lukas2511> worth a try i guess
[14:33:16] <john123> still trying to figure out... I also can't get any display after having connected the lime2 to a monitor and restart the board :/
[14:33:55] <john123> there's "something", my monitor displays "the video mode can't be displayed"
[22:30:29] <SuperGuest> ugh
[22:30:32] <SuperGuest> ;'(
