Hello,

I have RK3188-SOM 4G board. Its IO voltage is 3.3V. I want to connect rgb lcd which has 1.8V io voltage to its lcd port. Is there any way to do this with software without making any electronic circuit?

Best,

Selim.

Hello Selim,

Thank you for the e-mail!

I inspected the schematic and the possibilities and unfortunately there is no 1.8V option provided. You would need to drive down the signals to 1.8 externally.

Alternatively, you can also use one of our compatible LCDs which are easy to get installed with default image in the RK3188-SOM board, for example:

- LCD-OLinuXino-7: https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/LCD/LCD-OLinuXino-7/open-source-hardware
- LCD-OLinuXino-10: https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/LCD/LCD-OLinuXino-10/open-source-hardware

We also have bigger displays and also resistive touchscreens. Make sure to check the whole sub-category "LCD": https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/LCD/

The the wiki article of the board described how to enable the support for 4.3", 7" and 10" displays. The wiki article is available here: https://www.olimex.com/wiki/RK3188-SOM
