Are there plans for something like - A10S-WiFi?

It would be perfect board for creating router with a WiFi access point. I hope you'll manage to solve this issue  https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=1144.msg5422#msg5422 by then.

Thank you for the great hardware, guys!

olimex

you can have WIFI with MOD-WIFI-RTL8188

But will it function as an Access Point without the issues mentioned above?

I saw people on this forum trying to create such thing (similar to the Pi-Point project), but I didn't see anybody actually succeeding.

someone with more experience in wifi should answer this, what we use wifi for is to connect OLinuXino to wifi router to have internet access, for other purposes it may or may not be possible, but we never try

That power to run a router/access point? I think it's wasted.
There are better alternatives for such application, cheaper, well tested and stable, like this one:

TeeBX VoIP communication platform

Well, in my opinion, I do not think it's a waste.

My router, for example, is a Broadcom BCM6328 with 320MHz and 32 MiB. Sometimes it fails to deliver packages on time. He gets overloaded when many people are using the internet here at home, actually me and my two brothers.  ;D

I may be wrong, but I think it would be up to innovative a router with USB(like some TP-LINK), SATA, processor 1GHz and 512MB RAM. I think it would be amazing.

I plan to run a content filter on it, so I need something more powerful than a regular router. I also want to use it for backup and local file sharing. Furthermore I want it for home automation in conjunction with several uext modules. This board is a good choice for such project.

Thank you.
