Hello.

We want to test the Olinuxino for some Zigbee communication.

We have a MOD-ZIGBEE-UEXT and a MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR.

When connected to the UEXT of the Olinuxino (iMX233 Maxi), with the "MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR" we see the "Trying to join network as a new device..." messages, but we get nothing from the MOD-ZIGBEE-UEXT...

So the questions are:
- What firmware is preloaded in these "MOD-ZIGBEE-UEXT" boards?
- Can they act as Zigbee coordinators or do they have to be reprogramed for that? (we just want to get some data from the MOD-ZIGBEE-PIR devices)

Thanks in advance!

Hey uantero,

All ZIGBEE modules are programmed as end devices before shipping.

You need to program at least one as a coordinator. You may use the prebuilt hex from the following archive: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/RF/MOD-ZIGBEE-UEXT/resources/DemoSoft_MOD-ZIGBEE_v.1.00_11.05.2011.zip.
