Hello,

I have purchased MSP430-GBD.
I want to test this board.
I have downloaded Glass-Break wave sound from your website.

Setting of Jumper as
1) SDA/P1.2 at P1.2
2) SCL/P1.1 at P1.1
3) BAT/JTAG at BAT
4) E_MIC is Open

I have connected 3.3V coin cell to the Glass-Break board.
And play  Glass-Break sound.
It is not glowing LED or no buzzer sound.

What are other changes required to test this Board ?

Regards,
Amreen

Hey there,

Part of the test here features the glass breaking sound and whether the board reacts properly to it.

I feel like the board is under-powered. Is it possible to measure the voltage of the coin battery (if you have a multimeter or voltagemeter)?

I recommend you to test with a JTAG powering if you have a JTAG, or by directly applying 3.3V from a regulated power supply unit if you have one. Else try with another battery (if possible from another battery brand and supplier).

If the problem persists please drop an e-mail at: support@olimex.com.
