I am running into very unreliable wifi. It rarely connects to my wireless router on the first try. In fact the only time I've ever seen it work is after a system reboot.
I'm wondering if it is possible that there is something wrong in the image. I'd also appreciate any suggestions on where I should look to debug this further.

Here are the steps I've been doing
  • put A64-OLinuXino-bullseye-minimal-20220928-143706.img image on sd card
  • boot A64-OLinuXino-1Ge16GW-EA with sd card
  • run olinuxino-sd-to-emmc
  • remove card and reboot
  • login as root
  • run: nmcli device wifi connect <SSID> password <password>
  • After about 60 seconds, result is Error: Connection activation failed: (7) Secrets were required, but not provided.

After a couple of reboots the wifi did connect, but if I disconnect to perhaps try to connect to another network.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a different image or configuration I need to do for the -EA version of the hardware?

Thanks in advance!

It would be interesting to compare with booting from SD card, does the same behavior exists?

Also make sure to test with the base image "A64-OLinuXino-bullseye-base-20220928-143706.img.7z" and compare the behavior.

Furthermore, it seems like a popular error online, did you try some of the suggestions provided online? Like first check these links:
