Hi,

I am using Olimex A20Lime2-4gb with latest debian jessie image,I want to reduce boot up time.
1) I have tried disabling some services like ntp but this didnt  help I used 'service ntp stop'  and 'update-rc.d ntp remove' commands for this. I used these commands for other services but they dont work. They are only workable for ntp service. how can stop other services ?
Can any one tell me what services are suppose to disable to reduce bootup time?

2) I also used 'touch /etc/readahead.d/custom.later' ,this was helpful. It reduced time from 1 min 20sec to 1min

but I want to boot my olimex within max to max 10 sec. how to get this ?

3) I installed grub and set default as 0, still not making boot process  faster.

4)whenever I boot olimex I get black text login screen which wait for 10sec.I dont want this login screen so I set autologin in lightdm.conf file but still its not going. How to remove this ?

Is there any other method to make boot process faster? or am I doing anything wrong?

Regards
