Hi,
System: A20lime2-4gb with official debian jessie image.
We are building a GUI interface application using QT with QML which is running painfully slow. It seems like this happens when opengl is not hardware accelerated. The standard image of debian has the necessary configurations for this or do we have to configure the system to enable hardware acceleration using the GPU?

I haven't done it personally but I've seen that it has been done before.  I recommend you these resources: http://vanguardiasur.com.ar/opengl-es-on-allwinner-boards/ and http://wapel.de/?p=190

There are also several threads in this forum.

I also don't have many experiences but Armbian desktop images with legacy kernel come with GLES support by default. It might also be a good way to start.

OpenGLES for the mainline kernel is under development. Perhaps by the end of the year?
