official SD image goes out of space in 4Gb card
« on: May 05, 2015, 07:43:04 PM »
Trying to burn Olimex official a10_Lime_debian_3.4.90_release_3.img on a 4Gb SD card.
After some minutes it gives me "out of space on device" error.

Code: [Select]
sudo dd if=a10_Lime_debian_3.4.90_release_3.img of=/dev/sdb
What am I doing wrong?

thank you

Probably using a card that is too small.

dmesg, fdisk or the like can tell you its true size

the 4Gb SD image is used only for 1,24Gb.
don't you think it would be a good idea to make a 1.5Gb image so it fits perfectly even on a 2Gb SD?
Actually I have to use a 8Gb SD

thank you
