Hello
i am testing A20 Lime 2 board as a audio player
Analog inputs and outputs working fantastic !

Only i have problen with Digital SDPIF output
i connect siple TTL to SPDIF converter to pin 24 (PB13) at GPIO3
Script is configured
spdif_used = 1
spdif_dout = port:PB13<4><1><default><default>
unfortunely it not working - i have connected audio processor with spdif input, on oscilosscope also noting.
Any ideas ?
Robert

// edit
i just add  in /etc/modules
"sndspdif", "sunxi-sndspdif", "sunxi-spdif"  "sunxi-spdma" reboot and i see now in cat /proc/asound/cards
i see two cards:

0 [sunxicodec]
1 [sunxispdif]

so i see progress :)
but still no spdif at output.

//edit 2
all test was using VLC player

now i install Audacity (audio editor) and set as a output card sunxi-spdif: (hw:1,0) and IT WORKING :) !!!
now only to do to be able to play two cards in parallel analog and spdif

Hi robert.w, or anybody else, could you give more info on how to get or make the "simple TTL to SPDIF converter", and how to connect it (to the A20 or similar)? I struggle to find more info on this.

Thanks!

Gerrit

if you mean to and optical output

just connect it to a TOTX178 module
