With the release of the ESP8266-based products MOD-WIFI-ESP8266, MOD-WIFI-ESP8266-DEV and ESP8266-EVB, I wasn't surprised to see the new Internet of Things entry in the Products menu gathering all three products together.  It's much easier to find them now compared to digging deep into UEXT Modules.

There doesn't appear to be a corresponding place for these products in the forum though.  I think it might be appropriate to add a new subforum under Microcontrollers to gather discussions about this range, possibly called "ESP8266" since that's the generic name most commonly used worldwide, but any name would do.

I'll be having a play with these modules and the EVB soon, and it would be nice to have a forum slot dedicated to them.

I agree with you.
ESP8266 gains popularity day by day.
It will be very interesting to be used standalone.
I have already ordered mine from olimex

May be ESP8266 related to Arduino IDE and libs? But ESP8266 have many version different firmware images, Arduino IDE it is just one option.
So, may be new subforum "ESP8266" is good idea!

I have 1 modules MOD-WIFI-ESP8266 and 2 ESP8266-EVB
