7" LCD display not working in either Linux or Android. Was there a 480x272 7" ?

Hello

bought my A13+7" TS a long time ago, and I now finally have time to try to get it to work. The A13 works fine with VGA, but I can't get proper image on the LCD with either Android or Linux image.

The backlight turns on and I get a display of b/w vertical stripes and some red dots - as if it was _trying_ to draw something ... the Olimex logo perhaps ?

Pwr_but shuts and relights he image just as it should... so some commands are working. But the image data is screwed.

Now, the NAND image I am using is the 800x600 LCD for Android.

During the boot, the following is logged:

<6>[    3.200000] Freeing init memory: 164K
<3>[    3.260000] init: width = 800
<3>[    3.260000] init: height = 600
<3>[    3.260000] init: s.st_size = 1536000
<3>[    3.270000] init: logo match failed!fbsize = 1920000

Two questions:
1) what is this logo match failed thingy ?
2) was there (even for a short while) available a lower resolution 7" LCD ? I bought mine a long time ago. It is almost as if this thing is not 800x600 and the init routines are failing.

It is entirely possible my cable is faulty. But I just hooked it up with 40 female-female jumper cables and still the same result.

Any tips on how to debug the LCD boot process ?

Thanks !

Hello johnjohn,

The resolution of the 7'' display is 800x480. For Android you should use this image:

For the Linux you may use the latest image (but you need to swap the script.bin file):
