i2s or SPDIF support in linux kernel
« on: October 05, 2012, 03:48:11 PM »
Is it available support for SPDIF or i2s in some linux kernel version for imx233 ? And are there any chances of minimodule in a BGA with SPDIF/I2S out?

Hello wwarczak,

There isn't a SPDIF transmitter in the package of iMX233 we use (e.g. LQFP128). There isn't SAIF nor I2S, either. The chances of such a module are slim since at the current moment we avoid to use BGA processors.
