Hi,

here is an idea to develop the perfect home server board.

What is the need : having a small fanless homeser server with low power consumption.

Why this need : to be able to directly connect the board to the USB port of the router (or to a power supply).
What are the minmum of needed programs ? :
Here is the best small server (Superb Mini Server) I found.
It is based on a Slackware Linux Distribution.
http://sms.it-ccs.com/features.html
Then it must be able to run a linux distribution in place of simply android.

Hardware specifications :
- must have at least 2 Ethernet (RJ45) connectors. It allow to use it as a server with a switch connected behind it or for managing in/out network issues,
- at least 4 USB,
- having a SIM card port to allow to send SMS/MMS for alerting,
- at least GPIO / TTL / JTAG. To be able to use external modules (like Yoctopuce) to extend the server functionalities.

Sincerely thanks if you may do this board.

Have a nice day,

Miguipda ;-)
