Title: ESP32 Gateway R25 - QUESTION
Post by: alexisvieiro on July 03, 2021, 06:51:10 PM
Hi.
I bought the esp32 gateway development board. Looking at the schematic, the Ethernet part contains a 0hm resistor, which since revision F is short-circuited. What is the purpose of this resistance?

Thank you!

Just the visual representation in the schematic is different.

There is no change in R25 or the connection. R25 had always been connected. However, there is difference between how that position looked before revision F and after because previously we had no symbol for board mounted components and only indicated with text (aka writing "board-mounted"). In the schematic of revision F we introduced the strike-through component indicating it is board mounted visually.
