This board has no connectors, how can I use jumper wires?

The manual documents the connectors e.e. page 7.  Page 5 sounds to apply, however.

To use jumper wires just solder pins in the pinholes!

which type of connector can I solder?

Which temperature of solder do I use not to damage microcontroller?
