I've been using the AM3352-SOM with good success as a BeagleBone White replacement.
However, one issue I've run into is the initial reliability of the 0.050" connectors. I find it is essential to spray contact cleaner onto the four connectors before installation onto my motherboard - otherwise, random pins sometimes fail to make electrical contact!
I'm using the Sullins PPPC232LFBN-RC mating connector, which is gold plated.
Are the AM3352-SOM connectors gold-plated? If not, can you switch to gold-plated ones? https://www.olimex.com/Products/Components/Connectors/FEMALE-YAV36P-2x07/resources/FEMALE-YAV36P-2Xxx.jpg doesn't mention anything about plating.
