Title: Problem programming dsPIC30 with PIC-ICD2-POCKET
Post by: coco243 on August 17, 2014, 07:16:51 PM
Hi,

I have an PIC-ICD2-POCKET, and I try programming a dsPIC30F2020 on an PIC-P28-20MHz board, and when I go with

debugger -> Progam I get this error message:

ICD0161: Verify failed (MemType = Program, Address = 0x0, Expected Val = 0x40100, Val Read = 0xFFFFFF)
ICD0275:  Programming failed.

Where is the problem?

Thank you

Hello coco243,

I don't know what package dsPIC30F2020 you are using, but it is quite likely that the dsPIC you are using is not compatible with PIC-P28-20MHz.

Double check if the layout of the dsPIC30F2020 has pin 27 as PGC and pin 28 as PGD.

It is mentioned on web page of PIC-P28-20MHz that the board is not suitable for microcontrollers in 28-pin SPDIP package.

Best regards,
