Title: ARM-JTAG-20-10
Post by: efiovad on August 11, 2014, 12:08:37 PM
Hello,

I have a question regarding the ARM-JTAG-20-10 adapter:
I'm designing a PCB with STM32F303 uC and I want to use the JTAG connection. The problem is that my board is too small to comprise the 20-pin connector. Can I use the above adapter and place a 10-pin connector instead of 20-pin on my PCB, without having any problems?
I use the ST-LINK/V2 debugger.

Thank you,

Then aren't you using SWD?

I want to use both, can I do that?
I want to burn and debug the device using the same connector.
As I understand, SWD is only for debug, am I right?

It does both I think.  I expect ST say (somewhere).

Try a recent OpenOCD version.

Hello efiovad,

Yes, you can.

We have a 10-pin 0.05'' JTAG/SWD connector on STM32-OLIMEXINO. You would find the layout on its schematic here: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/STM32/OLIMEXINO-STM32/resources/OLIMEXINO-STM32_Rev_D.pdf (https://www.olimex.com/Products/Duino/STM32/OLIMEXINO-STM32/resources/OLIMEXINO-STM32_Rev_D.pdf) (top-left corner, also the document is text searchable)

Best regards,
