Does the MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 work with the latest version of IAR EW (version 6) (or more specifically with the latest version of the MSP430.dll interface, version 3)?
I did do a search but nothing very specific was found.

Yes, MSP430-JTAG-TINY-V2 and MSP430-JTAG-ISO-MK2 work properly with newest IAR EW for MSP430 versions. There is an entry in the project settings for the Olimex debugger and IAR has built-in support for Olimex debuggers. This might be confirmed by the picture, taken from the official IAR for MSP web-page below:
