Title: How do you check if the Board is working? OLINUXINO-MAXI
Post by: Opticalworm on October 25, 2012, 02:17:35 AM
I've been working on my new board since last saturday and everything has been going quite well (i've got ArchLinux arm working with blinking led and Network SSH) Unfortunately, today I've come to turn it on and nothing happed.

I've taken out the SD card and turn the power on and then I hooked up the Olimex debug cable to my terminal and to the board and At this point I would have expected the board to output HEX number to my terminal but I got nothing. LED1 (Green Led) didn't come on either.

Does anyone know of anyway to check if the board is truely gone? I've already check the voltages on the board (Vin=10V, U5=5.1V and U6=~3.3V)

Is there anything else I can to check if it's working? Bare in mind that I'm electronics Eng by profession so I do have access to the usual lab tool. :'( :(

could you expand on how you are connecting to external power.
USB, 6-16v.
do you have a battery connected?

It was connected to the 2.5mm Power Jack which was supplied by a 10V regulated supply capable of 1.5A. Unfortunately, I no longer have the board with me as I already been giving the replacement from where I've bought it.

Sorry I couldn't wait.
