[10:12:39] <leon-anavi> morning
[10:13:27] <valhalla> 'morning
[10:27:59] <astor_> Good morning everyone, I'm writing on behalf of the company Astor srl because of some technical problems we are facing with some A20-SOM boards. We noticed that, some of them, after (a number ranging from 5 to 10) reboots stay locked with this message at boot "initializing SDRAM Fail.". The only way to make them work again is by manually pushing the reset button on the board itself.. but after N reboots the issue happens again.
[10:28:13] <astor_> This behavior affects only a small percentage of the boards we use. After searching in the olimex's forum I found a discussion with a similar but different problem, in that case the user was facing the problem everytime he powered the board on, that's not our case. Is our issue a known problem and is there a fix? Thanks in advance, Davide.
[11:02:22] <tbr> astor_: I'd recommend to contact Olimex directly. If you didn't realize this is a chat channel with random people and not an official contact point.
[11:05:27] <astor_> Yep, I know that this is a chat channel and I was wondering if someone has faced this problem too
[11:05:39] <astor_> Btw, thanks for the suggestion!
[17:15:50] <ssvb> astor_: this might be a solution for your problem - https://irclog.whitequark.org/linux-sunxi/2018-04-11#21788620;
[17:34:50] <astor_> Thanks, I'm looking into it
[23:21:13] <GNUtoo> Hi, I've a Lime 2 A20 with eMMC, and I'm trying to get into FEL mode.
[23:21:24] <GNUtoo> the eMMC is full of zeros
[23:21:39] <GNUtoo> and I connected an USB<->serial adapter
[23:21:49] <GNUtoo> and I've a working u-boot on an uSD
[23:22:35] <GNUtoo> if I remove the uSD, the power from the serial adapter and the usb cable (that goes to the mini-usb on the lime) and plug the serial port adapter and then the usb cable, lsusb sees nothing
[23:22:57] <GNUtoo> if I plug the uSD, the serial port and the USB cable, then I've u-boot starting
[23:23:19] <GNUtoo> if I then run 'go 0xffff0020' I've still nothing on lsusb
[23:24:02] <GNUtoo> I've tried the two button dances at https://linux-sunxi.org/FEL#Triggering_FEL_mode
[23:24:15] <GNUtoo> and '1' and '2' on the UART too
[23:28:37] <GNUtoo> I've also tried things with the reset button
[23:29:17] <GNUtoo> Is FEL supposed to work on the lime2? https://linux-sunxi.org/Olimex_A20-OLinuXino-Lime2 makes think it should
[23:41:58] <GNUtoo> hmmm, eMMC boot fails when not powered up by a PSU
[23:42:04] <GNUtoo> strange
[23:51:07] <GNUtoo> I got FEL on lsusb with the PSU
