IRC #olimex 2015-11-17

[16:09:05] <asyd> morning folks
[16:11:57] <asyd> can I ask for details on olimex products? I would like to know the class of LIME2 SD cards for example
[17:16:52] <adj_> asyd, you can use a sdcard of any class
[17:17:16] <adj_> if you are asking about the preconfigured sdcards sold by olimex, i think that are class10
[17:18:33] <adj_> anyway, there are big difference from one class10 to another
[17:20:51] <adj_> i think that i have a couple of sdcards from olimex, I can check speed if I have a little of time
[17:27:12] <leon-anavi> asyd, my personal experience is that class10 cards should be used not only for Olimex but for any other ARM boards. With lower class cards the OS is slower.
[18:26:06] <Tenkawa> hopefully I'll have my first lime2 board online today yay
[18:38:08] <asyd> leon-anavi: yeah
[18:38:37] <asyd> that why i asked the class of this https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXino/A20/A20-LIME2-DEBIAN-SD/ :)
[18:38:41] <asyd> there is no detalils at all
[18:40:50] <Tenkawa> asyd: whats the question? i'll try to answer
[18:41:24] <Tenkawa> oh the sd card class?
[18:42:56] <Tenkawa> yeah no details at all
[18:43:28] <Tenkawa> wish the image was available and I'd just use my own card
[18:48:59] <leon-anavi> asyd, honestly if I were you I would just buy a good class 10 microSD card, download an image and flash it on the microSD card :)
[19:47:52] <Tenkawa> wheres the nand script and images at on the website so i can build up a stock card?
[19:49:20] <Tenkawa> I downloaded the olinuxino-master git repo and dont see it there
[20:17:22] <Tenkawa> are torrent's the only option on the olimex.com site for retrieving jessie images?
[20:28:10] <Tenkawa> appears to be no one seeding it
