[18:33:01] <NOOB> hi olimex, how many gpios on the RT5350F EVB?
[18:40:38] <leon-anavi> NOOB I guess you can count the GPIOs on the pdf that olimex has published at GitHub: https://github.com/OLIMEX/OLINUXINO/tree/master/HARDWARE/RT5350F
[18:44:31] <NOOB> leon-anavi well i was asking about the EVB. looking at it, you can see its not clear or easy to figure.
[18:45:38] <NOOB> or, at least its not clear to me?
[18:45:42] <leon-anavi> NOOB true :) it will be nice if olimex add this info on the product page
[18:46:54] <NOOB> leon-anavi thanks. i was thinking i screwed up something simple.
[18:47:46] <NOOB> who do i bug to get an answer?
[18:52:09] <leon-anavi> why don't you drop an email to info@olimex.com ?
[18:52:55] <NOOB> they answer?
[18:53:07] <NOOB> i have a doubt
[18:53:11] <leon-anavi> sure, they will answer.
[18:54:03] <leon-anavi> Not sure if they will be able to answer today because in their time zone (btw same as mine) it is already after business hours.
[19:00:06] <NOOB> i am looking at the a20 with a wifi vs RT5350F
[19:00:49] <NOOB> probably should just order both
[19:01:01] <leon-anavi> my personal experience is that both are very good developer boards
[19:01:18] <NOOB> may i bug you then?
[19:01:27] <NOOB> for just a few moments
[19:01:30] <leon-anavi> which A20 are you looking at LIME or MICRO?
[19:01:59] <NOOB> lime 2 i think
[19:02:05] <NOOB> I WISH the RT had lime
[19:04:58] <leon-anavi> I don't own A20 LIME but I have A10 LIME which is similar
[19:05:15] <leon-anavi> and I have A20 MICRO which is nice and ... big :)
[19:05:57] <leon-anavi> RT5350 and A20 are quite different. Both can do a good job but it depends on the exact tasks
[19:11:11] <NOOB> sorry, back. what did i miss?
[19:11:34] <NOOB> leon-anavi sorry
[19:13:48] <leon-anavi> np
[19:14:54] <NOOB> did i miss something
[19:15:27] <NOOB> last i saw from you was "RT5350 and A20 are quite different. "
[19:16:55] <leon-anavi> no news on my side after that :)
[19:17:21] <leon-anavi> they are quite different indeed. May be you should order both, do some test and find out which fits best your needs.
[19:18:04] <leon-anavi> A20 is an ARM SoC from Allwinner, RT5350 is a MIPS SoC from Ralink.
[19:18:40] <leon-anavi> RT5350 is suitable for routing, headless IoT devices
[19:19:21] <leon-anavi> A20 is also suitable for IoT but it in my opion it can fit large range of tasks, including running GUI.
[19:22:31] <NOOB> would the a20 with the wifi usb be a decent router?
[19:32:18] <leon-anavi> RT5350 is designed for routers
[19:32:49] <leon-anavi> you can try A20 but my guess is that RT5350 with OpenWRT is a better choice for this task.
