[07:11:59] <john123> Hi
[07:12:10] <lukas2511> hi
[07:12:39] <john123> I can't boot since yesterday, after I added the swap file and tried to reboot :(
[07:12:48] <john123> is there something to check?
[07:13:14] <lukas2511> well, i would suggest attaching a serial adapter and check what is on console
[07:13:37] <john123> I tried with HDMI but can't get any display
[07:13:58] <john123> Is there a chance that with serial adapter it works better?
[07:14:20] <lukas2511> yes
[07:14:23] <john123> ok
[07:16:38] <john123> is the needed cable that one? https://www.olimex.com/Products/Components/Cables/USB-Serial-Cable/USB-Serial-Cable-F/
[07:17:44] <lukas2511> yea that should work
[07:18:31] <john123> so I plug the 3 wires to the board, and where goes the USB?! Sorry, I never used that before
[07:19:02] <john123> I'm not sure if I can get the display on a normal screen or if I need something special
[07:19:38] <lukas2511> usb goes into your computer, you open a terminal app, set it up, and you will be able to see your device booting
[07:19:58] <john123> ok, thank you for your help
[07:33:00] <john123> euhh last question, if the cable is to be plugged in my computer, isn't it the usb-serial-cable-M that is needed instead of usb-serial-cable-F ?
[07:34:15] <lukas2511> no
[21:51:21] <keesj> I am replacing the internal circuit of my beamer projection screen. it first contained a atmel mega8 16pu (4.5 - 5.5) volt and I want to replace the ciruit with an tiny85. I did the proptyping on a OLIMEXINO-85
[21:52:15] <keesj> if possible I want to reuse the power supply in the projection screen (12 v ac) and the rectifier.
[21:53:47] <keesj> I loctated the voltage regulator lm78l05 and I am wondering if I sould "just" replace with with a 3.4 volt variant and power the OLIMEXINO-85 directly or use the 5 volt and the two diodes on the OLIMEXINO to get the voltage down
[21:57:54] <keesj> the ciruit also needs to power two relays that drive the synchronous motor
[21:59:23] <keesj> perhaps I am better of reprogramming the atmel
