Hey imma doing stuff, wanna help?

* Work on Official Armbian (debian and ubuntu) - https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/4756

* Alpine Linux is in works, currently blocked by issue in mesa tracked at https://gitlab.alpinelinux.org/alpine/aports/-/issues/14588
  * If you want my weird and dirty script which i am using to figure out how to write automation later then https://gist.github.com/Kreyren/d83d127d7de1f7a2b5916f4ea9f9a28e in general i am using line 100~129 to make the image, but until the issue above is solved then you won't get any kind of 3d rendering where xfce4 barely works

* GNU Guix is in works first i need "fallback distro" which is why i do the work on armbian and alpine so that if the configuration doesn't work i can just boot other distro and work on a solution (saves a lot of time in-between deployments)

* Work on new wiki to replace the current one - https://olimex.miraheze.org/wiki/Products/Teres-1
 * I will do my best to write as many relevant details as possible to make it significantly easier for other distros to provide an official support and i try to do some work on automating deployment for parabola and other distros later e.g. someone was working on NixOS and once we figure out what configuration is the system working with then i can automate it there too

I hate that my teres has a proprietary WiFI/BLE so i created https://github.com/OLIMEX/DIY-LAPTOP/issues/53 any relevant information that is manageable on olimex's end in terms of logistics and economy is appreciated.

i plan on make a 3D printable case and more resourceful main board(https://github.com/OLIMEX/DIY-LAPTOP/issues/45), but no guarantees yet~

umm i guess I should do an update so that people don't spam my messages on matrix:

Official armbian support for apt-based distributions provided at: https://www.armbian.com/olimex-teres-a64

Alpine Linux waiting for them to update mesa so that the OS knows what 3D renreding on A64 is

GNU Guix official support has been submitted in https://issues.guix.gnu.org/62024

Submitted https://github.com/OLIMEX/DIY-LAPTOP/issues/55 so that the next teres design can be independent of case thus allowing me to design an alternative one, focusing currently on making it CNC millable from a magnesium and optimized to be fabricable on common equipment found in hacker/maker spaces.

I currently have this running on my laptop:
https://www.armbian.com/olimex-teres-a64

What settings would you recommend changing to make it more snappy? Gnome looks great but might be a bit much?

Currently have it on eMMC but seems to make no difference in speed or responsiveness with the SDcard. (I might not have the correct type of SDcard?)

My GNOME has disabled animations in the gnome-tweaks, i was debating if i should disable it by default, but some users seems to prefer them. Let me know how it works for you so that i could adjust the documentation in https://www.armbian.com/olimex-teres-a64.

In terms of SDCard the difference is not noticable for me using generic (SanDisk Ultra 32GB) Class 10 A1 SDCard as the speed seems to be around the same as the used eMMC, but using faster SDCard seems to have a measurable difference so the hypothesis is that using MTFC32GAPALNA-AAT should make it significantly more snappier assuming that it's power requirements can be satisfied on the current board, see https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=9095.0
