Hi,

I am considering to buy a few of ADuC-H7020 to play fixed audio (a few minutes in length) as a reaction to sensor data. I am fairly confident in Linux with experience of the OLinuXino Lime boards and have done some projects using Arduino IDE programmed chips.

1) How would one store audio data on this chip?
2) are the DAC outputs safe to be used right into an audio amplifier without additional capacitors?
3) is this chip programmable through Arduino IDE/ what software do I need to get going?

Thank you for your input

No. Boards compatible with Arduino ID can be found in this section:

The examples we provide are for IAR EW for ARM. But you can probably use any environment that supports ARM7TDMI.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend ADuC-H7020 for a beginner. There are better options at our web-site if you are interested in audio playback, including fully-fledged Linux boards like A20-OLinuXino-MICRO or WIFI-capable boards like ESP32-ADF: https://www.olimex.com/Products/IoT/ESP32/ESP32-ADF/open-source-hardware
