I am trying to open the cad model assembly of ESP32-POE-ISO in Fusion360 in order to design a case but I cant find a file with the complete assembly in the 3D folder in the GitHub repository.

How could I proceed?

Hmm probably you have to save in specific format or some converter is needed, it might be a better idea to ask in the AutoDesk forums how to import kicad into Fusion360. I also found this question in their forums here:

Please notice that the design files we publish are meant to be opened with KiCAD. The 3D view that comes with some boards, like ESP32-PoE-ISO can again be viewed in KiCAD. In order to see the 3D view open PCB layout and go to View -> 3D viewer.

Important! Consider that the 3D view should be used for informative purposes only. The height of most components were taken from ready libraries or internet and we haven't verified the height of each component empirically (since we don't need the height for manufacturing). You shouldn't trust the height of the components.

Thanks a lot LubOlimex.

I installed KiCad and managed to export the boards as STEP. I also exported the board to IDFv3 (.mne) but Fusion 360 cannot open these files without and extension that costs 10 USD: https://apps.autodesk.com/FUSION/en/Detail/Index?id=3201819144576582682&appLang=en&os=Win64

When I opened the STEP files in fusion they look alright, not perfect though.

Thanks again for you help.

Nice! Thanks for the feedback and the update! Still remember what I said about heights - while close they might not be exact.
