Hi there,

despite the information provided in the ArmbianHowTo, I can't get the LCD-Display to be auto-detected with the current armbian image (5.92.4/5.2.21).

Is there anything I miss out off or is auto-detection not possible with the combination of a T2-OLinuXino-e8Gs16M-IND and a LCD-OLinuXino-4.3"TS?
I'm aware that I can manually override it, but I would prefer auto-detection.

Cheers,
Klaus

Does your LCD-OLinuXino-4.3TS use LCD-DRIVER board PCB (check the red board at the back of the display)? If not (e.g. if it uses the legacy board design), then there is no auto-dection.

The red board on the display reads:
LCD-OLINUXINO-4.4"TS
rev.B  (C)2015

Unfortunately, your display lacks the hardware required for auto-detection. It needs memory to store the identification information. Only displays with LCD-DRIVER PCB have such a feature. They have EEPROM memory for storage. The product with such PCB is called "LCD-OLINUXINO-4.3RTS".

Who could fix that in the ArmbianHowTo?

The statement:
QuoteThe auto-detection will only work on panels and boards .
is misleading and did cost me quite some time.  :(

Oops sorry about that, that sentence ended in the middle. Improved it now, let me know if you encounter other such problems.
