The pic-web manual shows how to connect pic-web to a PC using a crossover cable, how would I connect pic-web board to a PC via a router?

Hi,
I've tried it more than a year ago, and if I remember well you have to use the straight type cable (the most common). I think it is the same as trying to connect 2 PCs together: if you do it p2p you have to use crossed and if you do it though a hub you have to use straight.
You could have gained time if you had tried both cables.
Best Regards

Thanks, but how do I connect it to a website through a router?

If I understand well you want to use the board as webserver. If so change the port forwarding on your modem-router to the board's local address (192.xx.xx.xx). It should work just like when you set up a computer in your LAN as web server.
Wish you best of luck

You want to use it as a browser! So, you have to program the board to work as a browser. That is tricky and highly difficult my friend. It would be easier to make a turn to Linux boards. Olimex has one, Raspberry is cheap and widely used and many more...
