MOD-RS485 python
« on: December 09, 2017, 01:31:29 PM »
Hello guys, anyone has a python tutorial for MOD-RS485 (not ISO version)? I have the A20 board with official debian olimex image.

Don't have a guide myself but few tips.

Generally MOD-RS485 doesn't use typical I2C since it also has two control signals. You should use the GPIO functions of the A20's python package: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyA20/0.2.12

Make sure to search in this forum about MOD-RS485, there are a lot of threads with user experience already shared. For example, this thread: https://www.olimex.com/forum/index.php?topic=2927.0
