Hello,
i'm using Archlinux image 3.7.1 and TP Link Usb wifi dongle (TL-WN722N). I'u using the same SD card with linux image and my system is working correct with Rev. D hardware, but with Rev. E hardware it is not working. ip link set wlan0 command responds with "Cannot find device wlan0", bus lsusb shows Atheros usb device. What can cause this problem ? In documentation there was no significant changes is hardware.

I've checked with newest image, the same.

Rev. E shows firmware download error after connecting USB WIFI:
[root@alarm ~]# [   79.290000] usb 1-1.3: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ci_hdrc
[   79.630000] usb 1-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=0cf3, idProduct=9271
[   79.640000] usb 1-1.3: New USB device strings: Mfr=16, Product=32, SerialNumber=48
[   79.640000] usb 1-1.3: Product: USB2.0 WLAN
[   79.650000] usb 1-1.3: Manufacturer: ATHEROS
[   79.650000] usb 1-1.3: SerialNumber: 12345
[   79.670000] usb 1-1.3: ath9k_htc: Firmware htc_9271.fw requested
[   79.810000] usb 1-1.3: ath9k_htc: Firmware - htc_9271.fw download failed
[   79.860000] usb 1-1.3: ath9k_htc: USB layer deinitialized

the same SD card with Rev. D works fine.

I haven't seen this problem myself, but it sounds like it could be related to this issue
