What about a MOD BDLC controller from Olimex ?

Hello everyone,

I searched on the web a BDLC controller for easily driving brushless motors (also named ESC by RC hobbyists) by UART, I2C or SPI.
The only ones affordable I could find are only PPM-driven (servo signal, from 1ms to 2ms each 50ms).

Olimex is a great manufacturers which creates open hardware designs, and a huge collection of UEXT cards.
I wonder if I can suggest to Olimex to realize a such card, which can be capable of easily driving brushless motors with serial or I2C protocol, from various hosts (like OLinuXino boards, or other microcontrollers).

With the recent quadcopter enthusiasm, there is no doubt a such initiative could meet some success.

Hope Olimex have a such project upcoming.
What about a future OLinuXino quadcopter project ?  ;)

Regards,
Laurent
