Hello, (last post for this week),
I started in July with original 2Gb sdcard from Olimex. I was happy with the included ssh server (dropbear)
Later, needing support for PL2303 and FTDI, I moved to sdcard published by Otavio (20120807), but no more dropbear.
I tried to x-compile it, at this time successless!
Today, I have copied dropbear from Olimex's sdcard.

I plug the card in a usb reader, and typed:
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:~# mount /dev/sda2 /media/card
EXT4-fs (sda2): warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended
EXT4-fs (sda2): mounted filesystem without journal. Opts: (null)
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:~# cd /media/card
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card# ls
bin         etc         lost+found  proc        test        var
boot        home        media       sbin        tmp         www
dev         lib         mnt         sys         usr
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card# cd usr/sbin
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/usr/sbin# ls drop*
dropbear         dropbearconvert  dropbearkey      dropbearmulti
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/usr/sbin# cp drop* /usr/sbin/.
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/usr/sbin# cd ../../etc/init.d
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/init.d# ls dro*
dropbear
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/init.d# cp dropbear /etc/init.d/.
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/init.d# cd ../rc5.d
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/rc5.d# ls S10*
S10dropbear
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/rc5.d# cp S10dropbear /etc/rc5.d/.
root@imx233-olinuxino-maxi:/media/card/etc/rc5.d#

and reboot!
you may access by any ssh client as putty.

Regards
PO.

Hi,

The default image doesn't include drobear but it is easy to add it to a custom image.

For this, you just need to add, in your local.conf file:

IMAGE_INSTALL += "dropbear"

and trigger:

bitbake core-image-base
