Hello,

Sorry to ask this but i'm completely a noob in Linux, and i wanted to know if someone can tell me how to pass the black screen when it's written ;

"Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy/sid debian tty1

debian login:_    <--- ?
password:_        <--- ?
"

Because i have read that it must be: root and root , but it doesn't work at all for me.

Thank you for reading !
Best regards,  :)

Hello

Thank you for the informations but it doesn't work too, i don't know what to do  :-\

jeroends

are you using a qwerty or an azerty keyboard? root/password should work but if you are on a azerty keyboard, your keyboard isn't configured right, then you should try root/pqsszord ('a' is on the 'q' and 'w' is on the 'z').

Hello,

thank you for that but i already notice this, my keyboard is in AZERTY (France),

so i replace; A = Q , &  Z = W .

but still don't work , i have mailed Olimex Team for more support  :(

Anyway thank you for help !

olimex

I didn't know Azrty keyboards even exist :)
this is probably your problem please find one normal keyboard just to test if this is the issue

jeroends

hey hey, don't shoot at my keyboard ... Belgian and French keyboards (and some others) happens to be azerty  :)

@ zipper: please try all in lower key, no caps.

You could change /etc/passwd

Or login via USB COM port

May be easiest to get a new keyboard
