Noob here, so I apologize in advance if I accidentally break a rule (I promise I'll learn!)

This is more directed towards looking for free software to read or do infra-low frequency neurofeedback.  Is the EEG-SMT capable of giving a readout at these very low frequencies? Would free software like openvibe or brainbay be capable (or at least modifiable to do) of neurofeedback training at sub-1hz?

Hey LemurMan,

The bottom border of EEG-SMT by design and from engineer point of view is 0.16Hz. Both OpenVibe and BrainBay are pieces of software packed with a number of options and it won't be the problem to display the lower frequencies.

We haven't tested such low signals, so I can't guarantee the signal would be consistent and well-shaped.

Ah, thanks tons for the response.  I wanted to more or less have an idea if it was at least somewhat possible.

Is the best way to find out what's going on in that regard to keep checking these forums?  Or are there other places I could go to for people trying to do neurofeedback with this device?

Oh and BTW: What is the lowest frequency you've tested so far?

Hey LemurMan,

Since the design of EEG-SMT is based on the OpenEEG project, the community's web site is a good place to search for more info: http://openeeg.sourceforge.net/doc/. Especially the mailing lists https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/openeeg-list. There were many questions asked and answered there also.
