Title: Unique Serial No for Olinuxino boards?
Post by: idragoev on February 12, 2013, 05:31:06 PM
Hi all,
is there anything like a serial No, which can uniquely distinguish one Olinuxino from other? In my case I need such for Olinuxino micro. for Raspberry people use /proc/cpuinfo to take the Serial number but for the Micro it is zeros.

Thanks,
Ivan

if there is way to put this info in the cpuinfo I would love to hear how this is done and we can implement it

Ok. Then possibly this id can be generated stored in OCOTP. Looks like the Freescale patches did it this way:

0623-ENGR00123744-1-iMX23-add-unique-ID-support.patch
0624-ENGR00123744-2-iMX23-enable-unique-id-support.patch
0625-ENGR00123744-3-iMX23-enable-unique-id-support.patch
