Does the Olimex ESP32-POE device automatically take supply from battery when there is power cut or when there is no USB/POE supply?
I want to give supply to device through USB and whenever there is power cut the device should automatically operate on battery.

Yes, battery automatically powers the board when there is other power supplies get disconnected or are unavailable.
Notice that with ESP32-POE you need to be careful when having USB power and PoE power at the same time. If you expect to have all three power supplies connected at the same time - USB power, PoE power, battery power - consider the other product - ESP32-POE-ISO.
