Title: Olimex MSP430-JTAG-ISO-MK2 drivers for Windows 8?
Post by: kenyee on February 06, 2013, 04:38:37 AM
Has anyone been able to install these successfully on 64-bit Windows 8?

Windows8 just says "the third party INF does not contain digital signature information".
Looks like there's no real driver...it just adds a few registry keys pointing to standard Windows drivers, so it should be ok except the INF isn't signed so Windows8 is refusing :-P

Hey kenyee,

Windows 8 has some tight policy on using unsigned drivers by default settings. In order to use any Olimex product that requires drivers you need to enable unsigned drivers installs. Please follow the perfect explanation here: http://www.craftedge.com/tutorials/driver_install_windows8/driver_install_win8.html (http://www.craftedge.com/tutorials/driver_install_windows8/driver_install_win8.html).

Best regards,
Lub/OLIMEX

Thanks, Lub.

Might be worth updating the Readme.txt file in your driver download to mention these steps :-)
