Title: resistive LCD
Post by: tropek on February 28, 2021, 02:52:15 PM
Hello
There are no only processors in life !
What is the function of the plastic film on resistive touch screens?
I took it for transport/handling protection and I took it off before settings !!!

After calibration the touch panel works but with a variable horizontal offset (zero at the top and maximum at the bottom).

Is this due to my manipulation or to the old image (release_3) ?

The display problem is solved, but the question of the plastic sheet remains :
what is its function ?

The top plastic sheet is pretty standard for all displays. It is placed for protection - from scratches, from fingerprints, from dust, from dirt. Remove it if you want and when you are comfortable.
