Title: Can the ESP32-POE be powered by 3V3 ?
Post by: pines on July 17, 2020, 03:42:52 PM
Hi,

Can the ESP32-POE be powered by 3V3?

On the GPIO map available on the Olimex website only power via 5V is mentioned, but I could not find any info about 3V3.
The use case would be using an external 3V3 PSU/regulator for power and the Ethernet jacket only for data, so no PoE.

Thanks!

No, you can't power it with 3.3V of voltage.

You can power it with 5V of voltage. Either at the GPIO pins at the micro USB.
