Title: PIC18F57Q43 board
Post by: Jorgen on March 27, 2020, 12:31:04 PM
The PIC18F57Q43 is a new chip. It includes 5 UART, 2 SPI, 1 I2C making it interesting for projects with external components requiring UART or SPI interface.

Please, consider making a board with this processor and plenty of connectors making all pins accessible and grouped in functional groups such that it is easy to connect UART external components, SPI components etc and 8 bit parallel port components. The board should include X-tals, 5V to 3.3V regulator with option to run processor at 5V and ICSP.

Nice IC! Having 'this many' UART and 'that many' SPI and I2C is not that important.

This MCU has other very cool features: eight Configurable Logic Cells. Now that's interesting, having some features of programmable logic, similar to FPGA.

Let's hope there is a board soon.
