Title: Number of SPIs and UART in A64 IND board
Post by: gops on April 29, 2019, 10:29:36 AM
Does A64 support 2 SPIs? I could not clearly see the pinout diagram, more confusing.

Can you please point to Pinout diagram for A64 IND board? We need 2 SPI minimum.

Thank you,

Gops

The A64 chip has two hardware SPIs. Just search for "SPI" in the datasheet: https://github.com/OLIMEX/OLINUXINO/blob/master/HARDWARE/A64-OLinuXino/PDF/A64_Datasheet_V1.1.pdf

One is located PC0-PC3 and the other PD0-PD3.

Thanks, do you expose all the pins as shown in the Data Sheet of A64?

- Our interest in 6 UARTS + 2 SPI (  intersection between them are OK)

Is A64 40 pin GPIO is compatible with Raspberry PI Pinouts?

I found no discount for A64 IND boards if we buy bulk quantity.

Thanks

6xUART + 2xSPI is the maximum for the chip. Some of the UARTs are data-only (RX and TX).

The interfaces are mostly available. Of course, some of the interfaces might be used by on-board peripherals.

No. The board designs are very different and such compatibility is impossible. These two designs have very different processors from different chip manufacturers.

Currently, all A64-OLinuXino variants are at discount. The reason is that we sell them at our lowest price possible to promote the board.
