Title: Connecting USB-uLiPo board to iMX233-OLinuXino-Micro
Post by: andydarcyjewell on January 12, 2013, 06:24:12 PM
Hi,

Please go easy on me, I'm a noob here ;-) so if this is obvious, please excuse my ignorance!

Rather than toast my iMX233 Micro, I wanted to check first, but my electronics knowledge is a bit... limited.

I've looked at the board and circuit diagram, and I can see that the two contacts on the board next to the battery header are marked 3.7v + and - (so far so good). In the manual it says to connect to pins 1 and 2, but it ALSO says to use 5v ONLY.

I assume I'm just interpreting th "5v ONLY" bit too literally, as it makes sense that the 3 - 4v from the battery won't be harmful to the board as it's under 5v... am I correct here?
